Compositions |
This composition was inspired by the first three pages of Rambam's (Maimonides) book Sefer Hamada (The Book of Science) from Mishne Tora. It was originally written for a group of five recorders from Prague, and later arranged for a Wind quintet for the performance in London (click on the link above).
My article 'Composition and performance as co-production: the Israeli case', in Tav+: Music, Arts, Society, 4 (2004): 64-73 (in Hebrew), speaks about this piece.
